Julie Iwashita

Executive Director of Clinical Operations

Ms. Iwashita has more than 20 years industry experience in managing clinical trials. She joined Sorbent early in 2011 and previously served as Senior Director, Clinical Operations at Map Pharmaceuticals, Proteolix prior to the company’s sale to Onyx Pharmaceuticals and Affymax, Inc. Julie had previously managed clinical development programs for Genitope Corporation, Aviron, Amgen and Syntex Research working across various therapeutic areas, including renal, infectious disease, cardiovascular disease and oncology. Julie holds a B.A. in Human Biology from Stanford University.
